Politically Correct!

Politics is a science which relates to the governance of an area or a land. Politicians are those who follow politics but that is not the ideal condition. So, let's call the Politicians are those who claim to have following the politics. That said, governance can be of any form. It may be good, bad or in-between-good-bad for the people associated. No dictionary in this world defines politics as the good governance. But again good governance is a relative term. A government which doesn't enable its people and just provide free-bees may be a good government in the eyes of few people but actually is the worst in the long run. Making people dependent on some things and making those available to people without any efforts is worst kind of governance.

A government which makes way to achieve things easy for people rather than making things availability easy is one of the best kind of governments. Take an example - A popular government makes rice available at 3 Rs per kg to the below poverty line people. But, is the government doing enough to uplift people out of poverty? Are they making efforts to make people enable so that by efforts they come out of poverty on their own? A perfect scenario will be to find a perfect balance between free-bees and making people enable. A government which makes education facilities available and makes college affordable for below poverty line people is actually doing that. Instead of making rice available at 3 rs per kg, make certain terms and conditions around them. Set a condition to get rice at Rs 3 per kg. One of them would be to make the first 1-year price of rice to be Rs. 3 per kg and after that Rs. 10 per kg. People will get rice at Rs. 3 per kg beyond 1-year term only if people prove the efforts they are making to come of out poverty line. It could be simple things in terms and conditions e.g. Efforts to get work and getting yourself educated at the Government owned educational program. This will enable and set a target for the people.

But, is it something that happens so frequently and without any issues? Are our politicians so serious about enabling people? Are there any principals associated with it? The simple answer is no body cares. The onus is on people to make efforts. That is why we have so many NGO's. Though I am not saying all NGO's are actually great, but some are actually helping people. At the same time, some good government program like Skill development program will actually help people and enable them to come out of poverty line and achieve the best for them.

So, the writing is on wall... there are no such things like politically correct. A government which actually makes policies and enable people is the best of a kind of Government. Do I sound Politically correct?
