Powerful Law ... A Bane or Boon

Can powerful laws prevent any crimes and offends? Can sure shot punishment be a safe guard of no new crime and offends? Well, statistical and historical data says so, but it differs in nature and it doesn't guarantee for no-crime-no-offend society.

Thailand is one of the most tourist destination countries in the world. Every year millions of tourists visit. But, the question is what attracts so many people? Is it the good law and order? Is it the good behaviour and good conduct of the people that attracts so many tourists?

Well, much beyond all assumptions lies a strong justice system. Doesn't matter how powerful you were and how much wealth you have. Doesn't matter how many people support you even if you are corrupt. Judiciary should be free and fair with all. I am not saying it is justice for all in Thailand. But still, the judiciary system of the Thailand has guts to take steps against the corruption. And that too with fear of pronounced justice the culprits are leaving the country. Shinawatra family has left the country to evade the justice system. I am not concerned with who was correct and whether the charges were correct. I am just seeing the way the judiciary system has instilled the fear amongst people. No matter how powerful and wealthy you are.

Similar things are happening in Brazil. Strong justice system exposed one of the greatest frauds of the Latin America and many countries heads are involved in the fraud. That led to the impeachment of the President of the Brazil and the government fell. The strong justice system ensured all corrupts are exposed and punished, unlike any other corrupt countries where the justice system is weak with millions of pending cases. That said, judiciary system should be strong enough to punish the guilty in any circumstance.

In India, corrupts play the card of a victim and gets bail easily. There are n numbers of loop holes in the judiciary system and no one is taking steps to mend those in the last 70 years. The issue lies in to be an enabler to do this. The esteemed Parliamentarian are itself so corrupt that they don't want to take and mend any steps to end the loop holes. And this is the reason there is no fear of laws for corrupt and wealthy people. The judicial system independence is necessary for a healthy democracy and it is one of the bedrocks of the same.

So, in terms, powerful laws are boon and should be free and fair for all. This will lead a democratic society to the pinnacle of success.
