Champion!

Champion
A Champion is a champion. A champion is a master and is champion because at that moment, at that particular moment he was the best. A champion is just a human being. A champion is just as you and me. A champion also thinks, fear and work to achieve the feat. A champion is someone who made sacrifices to be what he/she is today. It is never been easy. Life has never been the bed of roses rather it's been the bed of roses with thorns. But thorns never deterred him/her what he/she wants to be, what he/she wants to achieve.

Champions trophy was one such confluence of players from all over the world. All best teams e.g. Australia, South Africa, India and West Indies etc. put their efforts to emerge as the best team in the world. A cricketing event which also saw the participation of Bangladesh and Pakistan- two teams which are not at the top of their form. But what happened was the surprise for all. Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and England qualified Semi-final as the top 4 best teams. Bangladesh was one of the most surprising teams. The way they played surprised all. Finally, the defending champions India and Pakistan qualified for the final. The match between India and Pakistan is always a do-or-die match. Every team member wants to give their best to win. But what happened was not just shocking but also an eye opener for all Indians.

India lost miserably, without putting any fight. Apart from Bhumra, no other players able to put even a spirited show. India lost to Pakistan by 180 runs. One of the most shameful defeats India ever had. It is not that India has never lost to Pakistan in cricket matches and win or loss is always a part of the game. It was more about the manner the whole team surrendered. It was the manner the Champions gave up the fight. It was the most devastating. The question arises, why we lost so miserably and Pakistan won grandiosely.

Champions are those people who put a fight for everything and fights till opponent conceded defeat. There is no magic associated with Champions. Pakistan team played without any wish for record or result. They played with all-and-never attitude and that is why they succeed. Had Indian team at least a good fight and then lost, I am not sure about others but I would not be writing "Even Hero/Champion fails" on the Facebook post. But it is okay. The Indian team needs time to introspect and come up with more stronger and positive attitude. Self-introspect is always good for all.

It is not the win or loss that makes the Champion. Actually, it is attitude that makes a Champion -
"The Champion". Shimon Shinek  said - "Champions are not the ones who always win races - champions are the ones who get out there and try. And try harder the next time. And even harder the next time. 'Champion' is a state of mind. They are devoted. They compete to best themselves as much if not more than they compete to best others
